A 45-year-old man in Cedar City, Utah, is accused of using electric dog shock collars to discipline his two children, according to a Local 6 News report.
Police said Scott Dover put dog shock collars on his 6-year-old twin boys.
Police said Scott Dover put dog shock collars on his 6-year-old twin boys and when they would get out of hand, he would give them a jolt.
"It was strange," Cedar City police Sgt. Jerry Womach said. "I've never heard of anything like that before. I've seen lots of worse child abuse. It was just so strange."
The collars were remotely controlled and delivered a low electrical charge.
"It's normally used to train hunting dogs," Womach said.
Dover was jailed and faces second-degree felony child abuse charges.
The children remain at home with their mother.
