I got 2 computers at home one wit windows 95, and one wit the latest version of windows..i want to save some songs and videos i have and put them on my other computer (the one wit windows 95) but that one cant read cdrws. I know if i burn the songs to a cd it'll play on that one but i was wondering if i burned the videos to a cd would they play as well?

and also...what is a codec? sometimes if im listenin to a song or watchin some kidna video before it plays it'll say buffering and searching for a codec. What exactly is a codec and what does it do to the computer ?

If you want to transfer files from one PC to another, burn a Data Disc. That'll just store the files so you can copy them onto the other PC,

A codec is a coder-decoder. Video files can be encoded in different ways, so you need the right codec to play it. You can download codecs here.

thanks for the help. do u think if i burned a video to a cdr that it would play on the older computer? i've always wondered that.

ill have to go to office max or some store to look for those data cds
