The Wayúu people, an indigenous tribe in Colombia, have been promised restitution after they discovered that the government workers who assigned them "normal" names gave them names like Piss, Coitus, Telephone, Clown, Tarzan, Land Rover and Marilyn Monroe. The names were recorded on their official ID papers 50 years ago, and they were all given the same birthday: December 31.

I'm drinking some Arizona green tea with a splash of peach. It's rather good.

I was never a fan of iced/sweet tea. I guess I'm still not, as these are more drinks than anything, not necessarily proper tea. But I've also picked up the Mucho Mango flavor which I swear is straight up mango juice. Can barely taste the tea.

I haven't drank much since starting school. I got hammered at the Welcome Back party because the beer was free. I think a proper celebration is in order this weekend. A liter of Ciroc is $30. Compared to $35 or so for a fifth back in college. A liter of Smirnoff is $11. I'm afraid I'll turn into an alcoholic if I let the cheap prices get to me. Don't mention the carton of Newports for $22 either.
