The ACC has four teams in it (dominant in yet another sport ). Clemson put Ga. Tech one loss closer to elimination today though. No surprise.

Is anyone watching this game? Ridiculous.

Bottom 11th, Cal State batting

First batter: Full count, the batter watches a pitch go right down the middle. Strike out, right? Nope. Horrible call by the ump, and the batter walks.

Second batter: Tries bunting the runner over, misses. They try to pick off the runner going to second and have him by a mile, but the ball goes into the outfield and the runner is on second. Then the batter strikes out, but the ball is in the dirt. The catcher waits to hold the runner at second, then throws to first and hits the runner. Safe. Runners at first and second.

Third batter: Bunts. The second baseman tags the runner from first, but the first baseman was charging so no play at first. Runners on first and third, one out.

Fourth batter: Pick off attempt to third. Carolina catches Cal State trying to make a squeeze play. They get the runner out. The man on first advances to second. Two outs.

Fifth batter: Strikes out, but the pitch is in the dirt again and to the backstop. Men on first and third, two outs.

Sixth batter: Intentionally walked. Bases loaded, two outs.

Seventh batter: Hits a routine pop-up to right field, right? Nope. Gets caught in the 30 mph wind gusts, and the right fielder has to make a diving catch. Inning over.

I've been following Carolina and Penn State baseball all year. Watched the game last night, Carolina's looking good. Pitching is the key to the series with the Beavers, and shutting down OSU's cleanup hitter, he can knock the shit out of the ball. Does Miller have the ball for the Heels in Game 1? If he does, look for a Carolina victory in the first game.

AM, have you been to any Carolina games this year at Boshamer? I went to a game their series with Maryland in March with my High School team, Carolina looked good then, look good now.

Nah, I didn't go to any. Startin to regret it. Between practice and finals, I missed a lot of opportunities.
