u can leave it as bare filter because if u box it wont retrieve as much air possible.

I have a mopar CAI for my hemi its open and it sounds like its raising hell when it sucks in air.

Er, yeah, why didnt i pick up on this? Its rather simple indeed! Covering a filter is like watering the pool. And besides that it obstructs air flow.
