We should be careful when we use Occam's Razor to understand that it is not intended to say that something is not true simply because there is a simpler explanation. After all.. I could have a black box with two handles on either end.. when I push one handle in the other is pushed out. I could claim that I know for a fact that the two handles are actually a single bar, but there might in fact be a series of gears inside that transfer the motion of one handle to the other handle.
