i don't have any reason to believe Clemens took steroids

with that said, I wouldn't rule it out either.

pitchers don't get much out of steroids other than it helps their injuries heal quicker. Roids won't help them throw a baseball faster or harder, although I'm sure theres some pitchers who THINK they do.

Hope for a Rocket relaunch in Boston was officially dashed today with word that Roger Clemens has agreed to a deal with the Astros that will pay him about $14 million for the remainder of the season, according to the team’s website.

The Astros have called a press conference for noon ET.
