So I was in class today and we were talking about your kind (French Cannucks).
The professor asked if anyone in the class was French Canadian. I raised my hand. She says "Oh really?!". I said, "no, but my girlfriend is actually". I was of course referring to you. She asked me what your skin color was. The reasoning behind this is because the early French settlers, according to her, were mostly white males. These white males would breed with Indian women, leaving most, at that time, with a darker-than-white complexion. I then said to her "well, she's actually near-albino status". Confused, thinking you were negro, I corrected my failed joke by telling her you were quite pale.
Anyway, my question is this, are you half Indian?
i am not half native american.
i'm half quebecois and half italian. there's also a bit of irish in my blood, i guess that's why i'm pale. my grandfather's father was irish.
and by the way, back in the days when this was New France, there was a lot of irish immigration so it has mixed up with us.
