Technology Burning AVI Video to DVD.

I'm burning movies to dvd for my flight to America, however, this shit is taking way too fucking long.

Obviously i know the video has to be encoded, but fuck me, its been an hour and 20 minutes and im at 14%.

Any one know how I can speed this up?

Get a faster processor.

You can make slight increases in other ways (close other shit down, increase thread priority), but seriously, you need a new processor.

What settings are you encoding at? What software you using? It only takes me a couple of hours on an Athlon 3800.

my processor is 3.2ghz, surelys that fast enough? i closed alot of software as you said and it has increased in speed, now doing 0.1 every 10-15 seconds. To be honest, I just used windows DVD maker, i dont have alot installed on this computer as i use it just for gaming.

Get ConvertXtoDvd 3..I use that program and it pretty good

Lol, actually, I've owned that movie on VHS since it was released, but I bought a DVD copy not too long ago.

It was actually Leon:The Professional Directors Cut.
