Derren Brown is very good. It's not bullshit but it is very cleverly done. If you watched "The Heist" they got rid of everyone who was too strong mentally to accept the subliminal messages and only kept the easily manipulated, hence the success rate of 3 out of 4.

Conclusion - Real, but won't those kind of mind tricks won't work on everyone.
