Booo drunk people

I think I may be the only person in the entire world who is completely annoyed with the "it's cool to be drunk" fad.

I'm tired of seeing the pictures of people being idiots with the caption "I was soo wasted"

I'm tired of parties being ruined by drunk people who want to cry about their life, fight and puke everywhere.

I'm tired of it being expected of me to excuse the ridiculous behavior of people simply because they are drunk.

I'm tired of people who are drunk NEVER being unable to find their own damn way home.

I am completely through with and over this idea that being drunk is cool.

People need to grow up and assume responsibilities for their own actions

If for some reason you feel the need to get that fucked up, make sure you have a way home from where you are. If you need to get fucked up to have a good time ALL the damn time... you may need to reevaluate your life. Stop drinking in access frequently. Admit that you did something and stop blaming it on "Drunk You" as if that's another person.

I try to avoid it too mostly, problem is people act like they can't control themselves simply because alcohol is present. I had a little get together at my apartment the other day and someone brought alcohol with them because I don't drink. I'm thinking okay... it's fine... we're all adults a few sips is okay for them.

But noooo... these idiots ended up getting completely fucking shit faced and then needed a ride home

Tho on a serious note, I'm tired of the vulgarities associated with drunks, and the overt masochism that goes hand in hand with dudes and alcohol. The yelling, unintentional waterfall of spit whenever you open your mouth to talk, the excess swearing, and just the overall rowdiness shits me. Thats not to say I dont participate, because I do lol, but from a sober point of view it's unsettling to witness.

I'm with you on this. I really don't understand why people drink.

I understand why people drink. What troubles me is that most of them don't know why they drink.

I enjoy a beer, don't get me wrong. Sometimes the odd glass of whiskey and Jack.....but the point is, most people unfortunately drink for the sake of getting drunk. There is a time and place to get suitably shit-faced, but that is a very rare time. When you start to drink excessively more than once a month you have a problem.

And when you do do that, you should be aware if you're in any way burdening others.

I can suggest... "let's go play laser tag or go paint ball shooting" and they're like "yeah, we should grab some beer on the way" WTF? Why can't just hanging out be enough??

Sometimes i'm like... "you're an alcoholic" and they deny it, lol. They make comments such as "I just like to have fun."

Yeah I think people need to let go of that mentality that having a drink is always going to make something more enjoyable. More than likely most of the time it will make things less enjoyable, cos you'll have to go take a piss halfway through.

Anyway...Big time...Bulmers or Magners whatever mostly. My mates all go for whole days to get drunk, which I don't like so I don't go. I got really drunk once and started cursin at my granny...not good. I like rum when I'm drinkin but I don't drink much.

I actually plan on visiting Ireland one day. It's on my list of countries to travel to, but I probably still won't drink. Especially since the alcohol is much stronger over there than here in the States, no?
