Technology Bit torrent client problem

I have a pretty fast machine, 3.4Ghz with a gig of ram. I use the bit torrent client from www.bittorrent.com

The thing fuckin eats up my cpu. everything runs hella slow when its open and im downloading something.its not because im also uploading,because i set upload speed to the minimum.

anyways,i need suggestions for a bittorrent client that will do the job without eating up my cpu.thanks

I have the same problem, my specs are pretty much exactly the same as yours. I'm not sure there is a bit torrent program that doesn't eat up the cpu, they usually use all available power so your download is faster. But if there is one I'd like to know about it as well, usually I have to do my downloading when I'm out or at work, cuz I can't really do fuck all on the computer

try bitlord....it seems 2 work pretty well 4 me. and i have 2.4 ghz and 1 gig or ram

I used Azureus, rarely went over 10%.

If you're running ZoneAlarm alongside a BT client you might want to turn it off, see if that helps.

I'm using bitlord, it doesn't slow down my cpu as much as some of the others, but it still slows it down quite a bit. Sometimes it'll take a minute or more to load a page on here, when it normally takes like 3 seconds max when I'm not using it

Right now Azureus is taking 2% (1,856) of my computer usage. Try that program.

Well the CPU usage ranges it goes up then down,but usually stays up,alot of times it gets stuck at %100 for few minutes. i try to go to a webpage and it takes a few minutes to load lol. ill let you know how Azureus works for me.
