Best Southern US City to Visit?

So i'd like to visit a Souther US city after this summer, and i'm just asking opinions.

Wheres the most touristy place to go, im planning on going for a week, places that come to mind that i'd like to go see are New Orleans, Memphis, or somewhere in Texas.

My main point for the trip is to see different things, experience the southern culture, the FOOD, nice places to go out. Im not into History or anything like that so thats not important.

Charleston, South Carolina or Savannah, Georgia are two of the best. Great seafood and sites. If you go to Texas, San Antonio is where to go. Atlanta's okay, but I don't like it's vibe. Stay away from Tennessee now with the flooding.

I loathe the south as a whole. >.< However, when I visited Memphis I actually enjoyed myself. So... I recommend it. Are you referring to the SW as well? In which case I say go to New Mexico, it's beautiful. (Yes, I know that's a state and not a city). I hear major parts of New Orleans haven't been rebuilt at all, BUT... i'm sure the touristy places are nice.. i.e. The French Quarter. I personally didn't like Atlanta, felt like I was walking around BET.. yes, literally the TV station with bad rap videos and bad tv programs. I was lost in Mississippi briefly, it's interesting to see (also briefly). Though if you're fairly brown (like myself) i recommend having at least one White person around for protection DO NOT speak any other language than English (as I learned) and make sure to be out of town before the sun sets.. werewolves.. *shudders* But seriously, the little small towns are really cool to see. With "town" being a one block little place with a general store, post office, grocery store and maybe a place to see a picture film.. hehehehe. Are you considering Florida? Miami is always nice. The Keys are great.

For once I agree with EDub, Hilton Head Beach is the shit. Also it was the first place I saw a round-about in America.

Go to Stone Mountain Georgia.. its got the 2pac center of the arts there. you could even go Florida bound. Daytona beach is Nice. was there last year. had a blast, sit out by the beach at sunset and watch the sun go down by the ocean.

I have lived in New Orleans and currently live in Austin, I would suggest either city it just depends on what you are looking for.
