In your opinion, what's the best video clip of all time?

Personally i think Heart Shaped box by Nirvana is the best of all time

The Macarena. lol. I liked their outfits. Nah seriously though, I'm not sure... nothing stands out in my mind. I liked the clip for 'the beginning is the end is the beginning'.. (or is it the other way, the end is the beginning is the end??), also 'have you ever really loved a woman' - I liked the flamenco and the sexy eye masks. To be honest though, I never really watch Video Hits or anything, so I rarely see them.

It's hard to nominate "the best video clip". What do we judge them on? Entertainment value? Support for the music? Should they be emotional? Or...?

Regardless, i'm not a big fan of videos but i do like Rammsteins The one with the ants is very dope.

It was funny how the establishment got all bent out of shape on that one - both in the UK & Stateside. However the UK became pretty open to it with the States stayed kinda timid.

Anyway, while I'd probably like more clarification such as Duke alluded to, off the top of my head I'll say it's probably out of Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up, Chris Isaak's Wicked Game & Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares To You.

the girl who sings the hindi part on "smack my bitch up" is real cool, i've done a few gigs with her before. Her name is Shahin Badar.

And yeh, thats a wicked video.

My personal favorite is Smooth Criminal (the full extended Moonwalker version with the breakdown in the middle), that shit is mindblowingly cool.

thats the video ive seen the most of my life and its still is a favourite. the dancing in that video is 2nd to none.. i love the 1930s feel to it too....


as for Hip hop.. i go with Sabotage... it looked like fun doing that video and it fitted the song perfectly
