not much, its just like any normal day. but if i had it my way, i would have Christmas lights outside my house and a Christmas tree inside my house..a fake one. real trees can get messy and I don't want to deal with that.
Unless your living in a third world country or in my house, you won't be getting any presents this year for Christmas...
I remember most of my Christmas Days eating food at home (what choice do you really have when the only place open is 7-11?). My mom made a turkey once...it was alright.....but that was 10 years ago.
I like watching Christmas DVD's. I might just watch Santa Clause 3 if I really get bored.
Christmas is a time for sharing. Mistletoes are great.
the thing about Christmas is that even though it's a religious holiday, many non religious people celebrate it too. my family has never been religious and yet we celebrate it every year. i think the whole focus on Santa Claus and giving gifts and all that takes the focus away from the religious element and makes it seem "okay" for non Christians to celebrate it.
there's not much about religion in christmas day.
I'm from a typical Christian country and most people even don't think about it as if it's got something to do with church or religion - it became more of tradition.
Even people in non-christian countries celebrate it (China,Japan etc.).
My family is catholic. My grandma would like for us to go to midnight mass but I haven't been in a few years.
We have different traditions.
We do the christmas pickle which I'm pretty sure is a german tradition.
We have St.Nick on the 6th. He puts stuff in your stocking. No1 else I know does it so I'm not sure where it came from. And we have to eat cabbage to bring luck for the next year. I d.k. why.
I open presents with my family, then spend the rest of the day with my entire family (cousins, aunts & uncles). I plan on bringing "Rock Band" to my aunts house this year, that should be a specital.
^^ well, non-christians are christians for a day for the most part.. we just dont go to church
we've set up a christmas tree every year, we all get gifts... the past 5 or so years, when i got older, i actually try and get a feast going between the 4 of us...6 if you count the dogs, we give them some too...
the one thing i cant stand is christmas movies... how christmas stolen or lost, i really couldnt give two fucks.... i believed in santa till i was 8 or 9... christmas songs are allright...
We are Catholic but we are not religious at all. I don't even believe in God really. I think they is some higher being but I don't know who. Anyway, For us it's basicly a time to spend the whole two days with family, eat, and open presents.
