Technology .avi To a DVD-R ??????

Since a week im trying to put the movie ''Menace II Society'' on a DVD+R and I dont know why, but the file is too big. Is there anything I can do to put it on a DVD+R of 4.7 Gb, any programs that compress files ????? (And yes I have a DVD burner...)

Did you download it? Or are you doing a DVD 2 DVD copy? How big is the AVI file? BTW, AVI's don't play as a DVD movie, even if its on a DVDR

If you're copying from a DVD you need to remove all the crap. You can only fit the movie, none of the extras or menus. Guide and software are at the above link.

You need somthing like Nero Vison Express 3. It comes with Nero 6. But follow Pittseys link bellow.

If You movie is an AVI all you have to do is convert it to DVD and burn it.
