How long roughly does a base ball game take to play????

alsocan somebody explain the scoring system.

for example at the moment it says

baltimore 6
detroit 2

and then 8 next to it. Whats that mean.

3:00 hours if its the major leagues.

the 8 was probably the inning. typically cames go to 9innings but can go longer if the came is tied.

everytime a runner gets to home, the team scores.

oh rite cool, so a game cannot be drawn. there must be a winner.

some games can get rained out and they call the game tied, but its unusual

baseball games aren't timed.. they played nine innings, unless it is tied after nine, in which case they will play as many innings more as needed to break the tie

games can be called after 5 innings of play due to weather. if five innings have not been played, the game is rescheduled

Yeah... rain outs always result in reschedulings (if that's a word). But most games go around 2 a half to 3 hours... though some games go even less than 2 hours, but not very often
