In a fight that is....and i'm talking about regular people....not like professional boxers or anything.

So this is what i mean...i think the older you are, you'll always feel superior to the younger age. a 20 year old will laugh at the idea of an 18 year old fighting him. A 30 year old will feel he can whoop a 20 year old's ass. So on and so forth. But at what age do you think you'll finally say "ok...maybe i shouldn't try to fight him" ??

I'm asking because the other day i had this...45 - 50 year old man in my face and he wanted to fight me........i'm 23. I laughed it off cuz in my mind, i can easily whoop this guys ass......because of his age and youth being on my side. But i'm thinking he had the same mentallity of......."i'm older than this guy...i can whoop him".

"at what age do you think you'll finally say "ok...maybe i shouldn't try to fight him" ??"

Now is good. I think you should always try to stay away from fighting. All it takes is one good shot and you or the other guy goes down kocking your/his head on the pavement, dead. I saw this happen at a 4th of July Fest. My friend's cousin got into a fight and killed the guy.

I don't know if this applys to me because I'm a girl...

I'd never fight someone unless it was self-defense...Meaning if you get in my face I will use whatever means necessary to get you out of my 3 feet comfort zone...k?

I say as soon as you turn 18 you should stop fightin, cuz then you're tried as an adult. 18 is a good time to stop anythin that could get you in trouble

I'll fight you.

It depends on your training and your health, fitness etc..

But don't even think about fighting man, you'll end up hurting your self and/or killing somebody if you're not probably trained. If you are a student of martial arts, then i'd say... you're the better choice because you'd presumably know how to to defend your self with out actually killing hte other person but just disabling him/her.

I think it's more of a state of mind than an age group. Once you grow up and start to mature you realize that fighting is ridiculously unnecessary for the most part....every now and then somethings happen that can't be avoided. But then again, it depends on the company you keep and where you keep it at.

I've not been in an argument since I don't go to clubs/bars and I've not been to the hood since I've moved.

However, if I go back to Chicago to the hood to visit people, or hit a club up, i'm bound to see a fight or either try to get pushed into one.

Personally, I think fighting is for idiots, but I still know how to defend myself.

Not really. Remember when that 15 year old got arrested for doing the pile driver on a kid and got life or somethin'. They sent The Rock to arrest him...(Thought of Dave Chappelle's stand up. How old is 18 really?)

whenever people have the same experience you had, they'll realize what you just realized.

as for potentially, i think once you hit 19-22 you should start thinking differently when it comes to challenging someone to a fight. i'm a big guy, and while i'm not particularly strong, i'm stronger than what i should be considering i don't work out at all. but i'm big and it takes a good push to knock me over. nevertheless, there are kids my little brothers age, 16-17, that i would seriously feel insecure fighting. because i know they are a lot stronger than me.

since we all develop at different paces, there's no absolute age at which youth does prevail in a fight, but i'd say 19-22.

I dont think age really matters from what say 21-40. ALot of guys whos are older that work out and keep fit are beasts! And so are alot of younger guys 21, 22, 23 etc. I guess what matters is how in shape each of the guys are. My 1st Sargeant when I was in the service was around 40-45 and dudes arms were bigger then anyone else in my battery. Plus he could run the 2-mile in about 10 minutes. He was in for like 12 years so you figga 12 years of running 3+ miles and doing massive cardio, pushups, and weightlifting every weekday makes you diesel as hell!!!

i'm thinking experience plays a big role.....a 40 year old that's been in alot of fights might be able to show the younger guy a thing or 2 just cuz of the experience
