Are you satisfied with the board?

2Pacboard is for the people.

With that typed, what are you reactions to how the board is running in 2005 compared to other years. Are you satisfied with the forums, sub forums? The Mods, the members in general?

If not, drop some recommendations in which us (the mods) can possibly consider down the line somewhere. All feedback will be looked into and i'll pass them on (if worthy) to the General himself.

i am pretty satisfied with it. i think there's a little bit too much closing, and then there's the idiots around. but they've been filtered out good. i think 2005 so far has been a good year for 2pacboard, remember that we have overcome the hack tragedy. we even got some og members back like traz, synful.. well those are the ones i can come up with now lol, but anyway!

I think we got enough forums / subforums, if not too many, but that's pretty coo either way, get to b a lil more specific. New change of members from back when I used to post, but alot seem coo, I don't see as many intelligent posts tho, but that might b due to ppl tryna hav more fun than tryna debate, but that's coo either way. As far as mods, I don't really dig tha way things r run now, but maybe it's cuz I like more lenient moderation, I think too many bannin rules too dictatorship style. But Pacboard still tha coo spot.

But like Froggit said, Traz needs sum competition.

i liked the board back in 2002, or before the whole stolen board situation.

There were more people, and more shit to talk about.

Other things i don't like is the amount of forums. In my opinion there are too many for the amount of people who visit regularly.

What I do like is the fact that people with 2+ years here keep coming, which makes the board still interesting, but not like before.

I think it's cool, sometimes some Mods are a little too strict with the closing of certain forums and deleting of posts, yeah, alot of times ppl get kinda carried away, but we all mean well

Gotta have law and order but, instead of being too strict like a Catholic School, and not strict enough like a Public School, lets meet in the middle like Private Schools, okay?

2001 was my favorite year. Traz has no competition so it's a lil boring on that side of things.

IMO it has went down alot.
After the site was hacked it seems like the forum got filled with millions of millions of sub forums, it just got messy here.

There are probably ways to limit the site so it will only show your favourite forum/sub forum, but i havent looked at it yet, and really dont wont to "filter" out anything if a feature like that existed.

Its like Our block isnt really needed because theres like 10 other sub forums, wich normally would fit into being "off topic" on a Tupac/Hiphop board, wich leads to alot of "closed" and "moved" topics, same goes in any other forum. This wasnt THAT big a problem back then

I understand the fact that a board like this with lots of activity would like to "split" it up into smaller sections to segmentate it, so one forum isnt flooded all the time, however i find too splitted.

Theres like 20 sub forums for artists where theres absolutely no activity in, shit like that adds to the forum being messy.

Its like this forum dont know if its a Tupacboard or a Streethopboard, wich makes it a seperate forum, in the same forum, if thats understandable.

But ohh well i still love the forum and its people, and this is only my opinion about what i think should be looked at.

Nah i feel ya, example I close some threads because they're getting out of hand with bullshit. I do admitt it's hard at times to split whats relevant with irrelevant inside a certain thread. I think the mods do a good job however. SicC, Chronic, Ruk.. especially 7 Syns though LOL. His out there!. jk.

I see what you mean, there are alot of sub-forums but that just comes down to control and expanding. Alot of threads were being posted and within 10 mins were gone to the 2nd/3rd page because the overwhelming amount of other threads both good or bad pushed them.

After that comes the same threads being re-posted by different members and in the end it really gets messy. The newer lay out is suited to all members being able to post and having their posts up for a good amount of time to be looked at and discussed which is what the majority I guess want.

As for the board being a tupacboard or a streehop board, well thats growth. When the board was generally much smaller it was a tupacboard.. Once it became a streethop board it grew, more members came and really kept the board alive. As a single tupacboard alone, I wouldn't see it survive today. People as much as they like say one artist are more open minded now-a-days and a forum dedicated to one person alone does get boring after awhile. Not all the time ofcourse however.

Yeah, i'm not complaining, most of the threads closed deserve to be but other times, I sign on and like all of Our Block has a lock on it, lol, i'm like WTF? Now what . . .
