Anyone use Google Talk/GMail?

Unfortunately nobody I know uses these.
I have a gmail account if it's the same as google mail however it turned to be my spam account. I used it to register on ONE site and now I get up to 200 spam letters/day.
I'll definately register another gmail account since it's the best email service.

It's weird. A year ago I didn't have any Gtalk contacts. Now with the popularity of Gmail and Android everyone I need to talk to on IM has Gtalk - my wife, my friends, my bandmates, my music industry contacts.
I use Skype for video calls though - I could do that through the GTalk desktop or web clients but the video calls on Skype are a little bit more stable right now.

I had only one friend on Gmail but on the other hand that might be because here in Poland people use our local messengers (gadu-gadu mostly) and community sites. I only have like 5 Polish friends on Facebook and more than 200 on Grono.net which is an older Polish community site. I still try to log in with Kopete into Gtalk and couldn't manage it so far. I don't have a gmail email address, but it's supposed to work anyway. It doesn't so far. But somehow I doubt that people for this board can help me with that problem.

reason being because i know android is developing and other people, like myself, would want to take advantage of as many google services as possible hence creating gmail/gtalk accounts.

If you have a Gmail account you already automatically have a GTalk account. But yeah, Skype rules too. Between GTalk and Skype, I'm sorted.
you two have such a wonderful relationship.
i dont use gtalk much, but would like to use it occassionally. dont just want to talk to 1 person on there. just a few people so its not always the same old thing. im not even that close with the only person ive got on gtalk. everyone i know is on windows live and is unwilling to make google accounts.
I use gmail and g-talk and I enjoy it. Mostly b/c most of the ppl I know have it g-talk. LOL And gmail is great.
ive really cut down on msn. im happy with the levels im using it now because i used to be on it alot, during my essay writing time. running in the BG.
