just wondering if anybody is in school for this or finished school and got the certificate hows the general coursework did u like it and what did u end up doing afterwards in terms of work? i gotta friend that did this for 2 years and hes finished now, i was thinkin about switchin to this since i like computers and pretty much have taken alot of these types of classes already (actually taking statistics now in summer school, did the english and a couple other classes) shit i could prolly finish it in like a year or so ...just was wondering anybody think this is a good field to go in to?

It's alright. I don't know how it works with community college as to job opportunities but if it's something that you enjoy it’s a good start. I would assume the coursework is mainly analytical, whether civil or mechanical. From my experience man, you have to have your heart in this 100% and know your shit from your ego; otherwise you’ll find yourself dimensioning other designer’s cad files.

You'd wanna hope it's more interesting than it sounds! Subject names are always so dull.
