My dentist told me it's a myth BUT my DR just told me it will make me deathly ill.

Do different antibiotics have different side effects with alcohol? I'm not gonna chance it I just want to know which one is lying to me.

Kelli, there are websites that deal with drug interactions and you put alcohol and the drug of choice in and you see the common side effects of the interaction.

The key thing is that alcohol is a bad combination with pretty much every drug on earth, legal or not.

It's not a simple "it's a myth, no it makes you deadly ill" type of answer.

I think people are mistaking antibiotics for vicodin or something. How will antibiotics make you more drunk? I dont fuck with alcohol when I've taken antibiotics just cus a lot of them mess with your stomach and liver. Go wiki what your antibiotic is and it'll probably tell you.

I've never heard of mixing alcohol with antibiotics causing you to become "deathly ill" but I always hear it makes the antibiotics less effective. I'm guessing your doctor is full of crap but I wouldn't listen to a dentist on this matter either. Yes it depens on what you're takin..... terminal ill is wrong too, it's just not healthy but it's not like you're dead right away
