Technology Alternatives for Ipod

I cannot stand using itunes, can anyone recommend me some other programme that I can use for my ipod??

Xplay, simple to use, just drag and drop folders in.
But you will have to format your Ipod to remove the itunes setting.
It's all easy from then.

It's also better when you don't have to pay for something you really don't need. And no getting it illegaly (warez) does not count.

ok i have a copy of xplay which i will happily pass on to anyone but does anyone know where i can get the serial number for it. another thing what do i do when i keep getting the message ipod file corrupted please run chck disk utility.After seeing this message my ipod does not update anymore meaning i can't delete or add songs. i want to restore factory settings but if something is corrupted will reseting it fix the problem or will it reappear again at a later point. One final thing how do i get my songs of my ipod to my hard drive so i do not lose all my songs that i have uploaded on to it. i deleted the copy from itunes as it made the program to slow. I agree with the above sentiments though i wish i got an iriver or the new sony (40 hour battery life- compared to my 6)
