NEW YORK (AP) A teenage McDonald’s worker has been arrested for assault after allegedly hiding bits of glass in a burger served to a police officer.

McDonald’s worker arrested after police officer finds glass in burger

The officer suffered cuts to his throat and mouth while eating a Big Mac he bought from the McDonald’s on Garrison Avenue in the Bronx late yesterday. He was treated at a hospital and released.

An investigation led police to Albert Garcia Jr., an 18-year-old Bronx man who works at the restaurant.
Police say they’re charging Garcia with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.

Juan Rodriguez, the owner and operator of the Hunts Point franchise, said in a statement that the restaurant was cooperating with authorities and that safety was his top priority.

Whatever happened to the good ol days of just spitting?

hate cops or not, there's no way that anyone can justify anykind of disrespect of food like this. Food is not something which we should take for granted. And this fool who put these glass bits in the food should have the full force of the law come down on him. And 1 week with no food should hopefully do to teach him respect of food and how you would feel if you didn't have food like millions in our unequal world.
Whats a 'joke' to some fags is life and death for others, have some compassion.

food being disrespected like that is not very funny. besides doing comedy with writing doesn't work very well, its the most difficult form of humour
