so this is my last year of school and i have to decide what to do next year. i have a few choices, i can go and do a defense force Gap year where u sign up for 12 months and see if you like it or not, or i can go to University and study something like Music and Event Management or just a business management course.

go get that degree. for the most part college is full of useless knowledge. but ull gain some useful info.. new ppl to meet. and most importantly that degree will get u a decent job.. its really wat u think u will do. will u really be enjoying joining the defence for or would u rather work?

the defense force has a few positives, eventually i wanna be a policeman so if you have a year in the army under your belt you have a fairly good chance of getting in. also dads buying me a car if i do the defense force gap year.

But on the other hand i think the whole event planning will be pretty cool and it wont be to hard like busting my ass in the military. also the social side of going to university is pretty cool aswell.

Money wise, military is more wiser (if thats ur thing). If you go to uni first (and you don't really have the intentions of finishing) you will be in debt paying all that money back. Make sure your 110% with what career you wan't to go into.

i recommend taking a year out of study. you've been studying for quite a while and dont enjoy it. so you need a gap so that you can realise how important what you're about to study is. this way you will make more effort when studying and be of clear mind at the beginning.

Go to the Army for a year and decide if University is for you, its not for everyone, and HECS is a bitch.

And why do you need Uni if you want to be a cop? Cops need event management? No.
