Technology Adding a search engine in Firefox

The google search bar in the top right isn't there anymore for some reason. I just have a magnifying glass. When I click Add Engines and go to the site, the search engine doesn't get added.

What Firefox skin are you using? I recommend Noia 2.0 (eXtreme) that's what I use, great skin.
