A solution to the gas prices...

i was thinking about this for a long while, in what can be done against these high gas prices. If you think about it, who is making the most out of these high gas prices? THe coporations that own the oil companies and the government (since petrol is taxed, and the higher the petrol price, the more money the government tax's).
Well what can we do then? WHat if everyone that has a car, everyone that uses a car goes on strike. Just don't go to work. Your place of employment can't fire everyone that works there. If everybody goes on strike and just stays home (not even protest) alot of people are forced to take action.

Think about it, the only people that are getting fucked over here are the consumers and we're simply taking it all in.

According to Bill O'Reilly it cost $4 to barrel and process the oil, yet it's going for up to $70 on the markets. Goughing? I think so.

Yes it's like that. The comapnies make mad money, no matter what happens. They get theirs.....teh only real solution would be to find ways so that we don't need gas and oil. Right now, and it shows more and more, we are slaves of the oil industry.

Great idea, better than your "ban pants" one, lol. Seriously, this is as idealistic as it gets. No way to happen, because you'll still be losing out on money. Better way is for people to carpool, not use the car much for unneccessary needs, ride the bus, and pray for better days.

But if noone goes to work, we all lose a little money true, but who ends up being the biggest loser. The companies and the government. An economic catastrophe will occur. They no longer control anything but we do.
Right now we're the losers, we're the consumers, if there aren't no consumers then there is no money to be made. Thus they will suffer. Government will be forced to act, cooperations will be forced to act. A nationwide movement will force the government to act, a worldwide movement will force everyone that will be affected to act.
