i am putting some speakers into my car now and i cant see which wire the original speakers are... there are all hav diffrent colours is there a coulur which is always speakers? or is there a way i can find out?

Using a multi meter and testing for continuity. Or you can try each combination until you get sound from it. Or you can connect the speakers up and look for the resistance with a multi-meter. Depends on your speaker, but probably 4 Ohms.

ok i couldnt find out so i jus connected the new wires to the end of the old speaker wires

^^ i did that and the speckers are workin.... but i cnt really see much change in the volumne..... i had 20w specker now i have 1200w speakers and there is no clear change.... WTF IS WRONG? is it cos i used the same wires as the old speakers... please help me out

Are you supplying 1200 watts to your speakers. Just cus you got speakers that can handle more power doesnt mean they will be louder, you need to feed them the power, i suggest you get an amp.

I didn't change my speakers yet but i have an mp3 player and the sound is more than good. I can change like all the sounds. I don't know if all the mp3 players do that but mine has a good sound. I'm going to change my speakers in 2 weeks, I guess the sound is gonna be better than now.

If you uprate your head unit you'll get more options.

If you changed from a cd player to mp3 the sound chould be the same. If you went from Tape to MP3 it'll sound better.
Better speakers will improve the sound. But making sure the levels are correct is the best way to get good sound. Most people turn the bass up too high thinking it sounds good.

just a little trick if you're trying to find the speakers from the in dash wires(if you're changing cd players).

get a small battery,like a AAA battery. touch the + end on each wire (except for the ground wire or else you will burn a fuse). when you hear a pop sound from that speaker,then thats the + end of that speaker. do the same for the - until you've found them all.

As they are only 6x9's any 2 channel amp will do. Look at getting about 250w per channel as a minimum. Your little 50w (probably) from your stereo won't be giving much power.

Or get a 4 channel and bridge it.
