i drive a mercedes benz 280se, a rather nice vintage car rolling on $3000 rimz and tyrez
okay, now that i'm done bragging, i have a few questions about my car. i lack the proper english professional terms knowledge when it comes to cars so i'll try and explain as best i can:
1. on the speedometer, between 50 and 60kph, there's a bunch of yellow lines as if to indicate that driving at any given speed between 50 and 60 actually does something. only problem is i have no clue what, so i'm asking why the lines are there.
2. if my car is standing still in neautral, it's sort of shaking. i think this has to do with the engine rpm, which is 800 when the car is in neutral gear. what do i have to adjust the neutral gear rpm to in order for the car to stop "caughing"?
3. i'm sure the car came in several different variations with different engines, but assuming the amount of gas the gas tank takes is universal for all '84 280SEs, how much gas is on the backup tank? i'm thinking 10 or 15 but i want to know for sure cause in times like these, when i'm broke, i'm driving around using the backup tank all the time. i just want to be able to squeeze every last drop of gas out of the car without running out when i don't have any money.
4. the gas tank on my old benzo, as with a lot of old benzos, is located underneath/behind the back seat. this naturally takes away a lot of the bass that the subwoofer in the trunk is producing. what would be the easiest, and cheapest solution to this problem?
