Technology 64 bit graphics card?

ok i just ordered a new computer im going to use it for gaming it has amd 4800 x2, i also bought a nvidia gforce 6800xt 258 mb graphics card. Now i thought this was a good graphics card, i ordered the computer almost a day ago, so i can still cancel. But my friends says that i shouldnt get a 64 bit graphics card and it will slow down my system and they are too ahead of there time. Is this true, should i cancel my order and get another graphics card. is there certain stuff thats good or bad about it. please help i dont know much about computers.

but 64 bits??? if you can find a little more expensive one with a 128 that would be better, but 64 aint bad...i wanta 256, so you know where im coming from...

it sounds 2 me like he's talking about the processor. 64 bit processors are out there and are slightly ahead of their time but that's only cuz there aren't that many applications out there that use 64 bit, but it is said that the new Windows OS will be 64 bit.

Nothing 2 do with the graphics card.

They seem to be refering to processors and not graphics cards. They also seem to be jealous cos your pc shits all over there's

i got a amd processor too (64-bit) but i don't use xp64 because a lot of programs don't have 64-bit versions
im dunno bout the games

some (eg farcry) will look even better
