Kiri's Documentary

Check this link out. It's an interview done based upon a 17 year old's documentary she did for a HS project.

I won't make any comments until after you've viewed the video because I don't want to give too much information about the video away.

yea like when carlton thought he was white when he was younger, in the fresh prince.

Phil: what do you want to be when your older, son?
Carlton: I want to be the president of the united states of america.
Phil: that would make me so proud, the first black president of the USA.
carlton: im black?

the kids chose the brightest color far as i can see. which is something all kids, even infants do. they'll just stare at something thats neon pink but will loose interest with something black or brown.
but also keep in my that kids that age are only shown white people. or people of lighter shade. the disney channel is a perfect example of this. even the cartoon network. you'll see a talking sponge before seeing a black lead character. if that were a 26 year old black person chosing the other doll (the "bad" doll), then i'd be concerned.

still i seriously doubt anyone of those kids had any idea the importance of race and society. i'm sure 20 years from now they'd pick the other doll after learning of the culture.

^Children are more likely to look at and be interested in the contrast between a dark colour and a bright colour.

They would be much more engrossed in a yin yan type of picture than a rainbow

Thought i'd throw that out there
