A Staten Island ex-con enraged over paying child support hunted down and shot two of his ex-girlfriends in front of their kids before killing himself, authorities said yesterday. Rashawn Mack, 25, fired a single bullet into the heads of both women Thursday - killing one and leaving the other clinging to life. Only a day earlier, he had threatened to kill one of the women over the court-ordered child support.

"If you expect me to pay that, get yourself measured for a body bag," Mack warned Rachel Rivas, 24, on Wednesday after she was awarded custody of their 2-year-old son, a law enforcement source said.

Mack had been ordered to pay Rivas $25 a week on top of the $50 a month he already was paying Chantel Curtis, the 24-year-old mother of his other young child, sources said.

"He's a nut. He attacked her once before a couple of months ago," said Curtis' friend Tealeda Lewis, 38, as she kept vigil at St. Vincent's Hospital, where Curtis was on life support yesterday.

"But she couldn't seem to stop herself - she was still in love with him," Lewis said.

Mack began to stalk the two women Thursday afternoon, arriving first at Rivas' empty apartment, police said. Frustrated, he repeatedly called the Pep Boys shop where Rivas worked, demanding to be told when she'd be home, authorities said.

He then drove to Curtis' Lincoln Ave. home about 3 p.m. and shot her once in the forehead, leaving her body in a pool of blood in the kitchen while their 14-month-old daughter screamed in the next room, police said.

Next, Mack drove to the Pep Boys in Mariners Harbor, approaching Rivas at 6 p.m. and firing a bullet point-blank into her head as her two children - including his 2-year-old son - stood nearby, police said.

Cops contacted Mack's family in Pennsylvania, who said after he shot Curtis Mack had said, "I messed up," according to a source.

A massive police manhunt ended with the discovery of Mack's body slumped over in the front seat of his black Honda Accord at 8 a.m. yesterday on Cowen Place in Mariners Harbor. A .25-caliber handgun was found on the floor next to him.

Mack, a mechanic, had served time for assault and drug possession. He also was slapped with a domesticincident report for assaulting Rivas when she caught him in bed with Curtis two years ago, sources said.

"She was a good mother - she was trying to turn her life around," said Rivas' friend Danielle Silano, 28. "And then this animal had to come and do this to her."

The rampage stunned Mack's brother yesterday. "Probably everything kept building up [inside him]," said Mark Davis, 33. "He kept it bottled up inside and didn't talk to anyone."
