I have now stumbled across LauncherProPlus. This I like.

Anyway.... Sped up and OC'd to 1.2ghz....! Sweet.

How do I bench test it?
so you rooted... well done. how long did it take?

which guide did you use?
and are you now using a custom rom or do you simply just have root access?

I used a guide from XDA Forums. I had to add some functionality to my phone so I could get the 3 buttons working, which enabled me to get the phone into recovery mode. Some of the words were alien to me, initially, but now when I look back, it was a piece of piss.

I have a custom rom, and I have added several tweaks and kernels.

Edit - Just did the quadrant test. 1783.... Early days for my phone though. I think I could get a bit more out of it.

Edgar Bronfman Jr (head of Warner Bros Records) said that he hoped Google would have Google Music running in early 2011. So perhaps we won't see that launch with Gingebread, which is a shame. I'm looking forward to it.

Removed the 1.2 GHZ overclock as I want to squeeze as long out the battery as possible.

Have got the Quadrant test at 1997 now too.

If you're running SetCPU, you can make profiles to actually get better battery life. Make a profile for when the screen is off to be clocked as low as possible, for both the minimum and maximum values. Also, have one in there that lowers the speed if your phone reaches a certain temperature so that it doesn't overheat from overclocking.

Finally, see if there are kernels out there that lower the voltage but still give the same performance so that less power is used to get the same or more speeds.

Dealnews is an app that rounds up all the Black Friday ads for your phone. I might get it instead of digging through bfads for all the deals.

They also said that Honeycomb could be on Tegra 2 tablets as early as February.

someone just posted this on Cyanogen's twitter page:

"Just flashed the G2 CM6 build on my G1, and it turned it into a G2!!!!111one"

Also, i just went onto the nightly page and it has been 21 nightly releases since the last Release Candidate (RC) build. Of course they miss a few days out as they dont release a build every night. So im hoping for RC2 to drop very soon.

Casey, my phone seems to have sped up on CM6.1 RC1, but the battery drain is awful. Ive had to use a power management tool to block internet data. Also, i dont know if you have the same problem but ever since ive flashed the RC1 ROM ive been getting Force closes on ADW Launcher (especially) and the music player.

I haven't been getting any force closes but my battery has been shit. I reset the battery stats when I flashed, but I don't see how that could do anything to it

How long has it been swirling? Sometimes it takes as long as 10-15 minutes to boot up after a freshly flashed ROM.

If waiting doesn't work, clear your Dalvik cache and all. Maybe even a factory reset. That usually fixes it. Do this in your recovery manager.
