So you just pray that there are reruns of the new episodes of the show you watch?
unlike you, i dont sit and watch television for hours on end...per day.

i couldnt care less. if i watch them i'll set a reminder on sky (satellite). im please to say that my life doesnt revolve around TV.

edit: for shows like friends, simpsons, family guy, king of queens, fresh prince, everybody loves ray/hates chris etc etc, i prefer if they are randomised. soaps - i couldnt care less if i missed a few here and there.

sports - ive learned to 'cope' missing football since i worked weekends for 2 years. but when it comes to my team i try and watch every game i can.

Torrents is the worst way to download. Your speed is determined by other users and your ISP can see exactly what you are downloading. I haven't used them for years and I download in excess of 100GB a month.
Not if it's a private tracker. Private torrent sites are the best place for downloading audio. Places like what.cd, although nothing compares to OiNK which was shut down a while ago. now THAT was the spot.

Your ISP can still see the data though can't it? It's not encrypted right?

It's really hard to maintain a ratio on music sites like that. Although, they are great for finding anything you want in fifteen different quality types. I was never on Oink, but What.cd is damn good.

Some ISPs don't care. It's when you download from a rogue peer that you get caught. They contact the ISP and bone you. Although the ISP can do the same. It seems ISPs in different countries have different rules. I think France really came down hard on pirates.

Still downloading from servers like Megaupload or Rapidshare is the safest way (and legal in most countries because you don't share/upload). Torrents are the least safe because of various reasons and I can't really see many positives except of file availability.

one thing ive noticed about the CM 6.1 RC1 is that Overclock Widget doesnt work. It appears after i reinstall the app, but then disappers and says that the widget cant be found. therefore my phone remains slow.

I use newsgroups. The fastest, safest way. I max out my connection constantly.
That UseNet stuff? I tried it from a friend and it gave me average speeds in relation to torrents. In my apartment's shared internet thing, I hit 500 Kb/s. With UseNet I was around 150.

Using Megashares for movies and TV episodes, I hit 1.2 MB/s, no problem. I try to use those for newer episodes, but if I want old comedy or movies, they don't upload seasons in one big file like that. And old movies are hit-or-miss with those. But they are still very good for new stuff that is currently coming out.

With Newsgroups I get 3.5 MB/s. So I don't know how you couldn't. With Torrents I was lucky to get 200kb/s. It is also encrypted so that the data cannot be read or shared. And there is no upload. Win. Win. Win.

Hmm, maybe newsgroups are different from UseNet then. I know nothing about either, just that occasional torrents + FTTP links= bliss.
