Looks like, when it comes to Adobe, Apple's loss is Google's gain :D :D :D
Google just totally gangbanged Apple lol.

I'm testing Flash btw ;) In public beta I got qualified for the freaking full version of Flash!
Older devices like G1 still can test flash lite which still opens flash content on websites.

Everything works smoothly! No lags on my Spica.

Holy shit!

Broadcom just released some video drivers into the AOSP (Android Open Source Project).

What does this mean?

FULL 2.1 CYANOGEN ROM FOR G1!!!!!!

Fuck yeah. I can't wait!

That's a strange thing actually. I had to enable apps installed not via market, download and install a pack from Adobe and there was a Flash icon afterwards that didn't launch anything. Now there's also a Flash Lite icon after update oO. It does enable some settings. Whenever there's a flash content online it opens in a Flash player window on that site like in desktop browsers.
I guess they're testing various options because at first it wasn't working for me.

Now when I want to download Adobe AIR it says I can't and that it will be available later this year oO. It was available for download earlier but I thought I'll install flash first. Strange.

edit: nvm it's still available on developers' site :cheesy:

Well, it seems that it's impossible (according to Android forums). Flash is chipset dependent.
Also, I found out that the app that runs flash content on my phone is Flash Lite, not full Flash. Not that I notice a difference but full Flash only seems to work on newest Android phones with Snapdragon and such.
They say that beta should be open to all within weeks.

that dell flash looks beautiful. i need to update my google maps somehow, but cant do it after having cyanogen rom installed. i still get lots of force close issues with process.android.acore and market takes like 10-15/20 seconds to get the list of apps up when opening it up. never used to be this slow.

im hoping the latest cm release (hopefully any week soon will work fine and not give me the same problem i had last time - which was not being able to download or update any apps). and FC errors.

/\ Uninstall then reinstall Google Maps. That's what I had to do.

You shouldn't be having those kind of issues with CM though.

If you want, I'll take the phone off you and fix it completely in 1-2 hours. Up to you.

But yeah, can't wait for the CM5 update.

Rukas, Droid won't run flash out of the box, but you can either sign up to for the Android Flash beta program using the link that masta provided, or you can wait until Android 2.2 gets released (which I reckon will be next month at Google I/O conference). My theory is that Flash will come integrated with the 2.2 update.

So you guys remember that I said before that I think that part of Google's I/O conference in San Francisco is gonna focus on gaming on Android, and another part will probably announce Flash and Adobe AIR officially (possibly integrated in Android 2.2)

Well....looks like the two thing compliment each other well. Check out this demo of an upcoming game for Android built on the Adobe AIR platform.

Another great reason to have Adobe supporting your smartphone ;) :D
