You cant build muscle without eating more calories than your body expends in a day. Building muscle is also a very long slow procress.. Beginners dnt have patience for it. Training at home IMO is a complete waste of time. If I were you I'd get myself a gym membership. There you have all the machines you need and free weights. Also people who knw wtf they're doing just incase you need help.

I usually feel like vomiting during my leg wrkouts.. But thats cuz I train at an advanced level. You prolly vomit after wrkouts cuz you're not eating enough carbs in your preworkout meal. Nutrition is very important. I suggest you start eating 5-6 meals a day.

Lol.. When you use correct form your back starts hurting? Buddy you arent using correct form.
wrong. If you have a bench, barbell, dumbell and heavy free weights at home it is better than any machine you have at the gym provided you use correct form doing exercises of course. i never go to the gym. I have all this stuff at home. It wasnt too expensive either.

and perhaps he has back problems? I suggest you get that checked out masta. Im not sure what exercise he was doing but an excercise like Bicycle crunches could hurt your back.

you guys vomit after doing leg weights right? i can understand that because exercise likes squats are tough. I hate anything that involves working out the legs

you know what i think might be a good way of building your legs for a beginner? Running backwards up a hill. After a few runs you can really feel it in your quads.

Bicycle crunches for the abs. best abs exercise imo. leg raises are good too. Look at previous threads for lists of excercise you could do.

I used to work out back in the days but after doing martial arts 4 days/week + running and cycling almost everyday I had no energy left for that.
I think you can work out really well at home if you know what and how to do it.
I have heavy free weights and a horizontal bar which means I can train almost every upper body part (and I don't need to do legs since they are already strong and look well from my current everyday routine).
2 years ago I was satisfied with my body just by doing push-ups every 2 days so I know that working out at home is not a waste of time - since even push-ups are a great way to gain a satisfying body considering you don't want to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I could do 150 reps without a pause back then. I still can do a lot thanks to my trainings but I want to build my muscles more.
I'm the type of person who is not lazy if it comes to working out - I really like it.
The point is that if I had to go to the gym every 2 days that would definately bore me fast.

I eat a lot of protein and more calories than I should - just in less meals/day than I should. I know that it's not good but I can't force myself to change my diet.

Yeah I do these exercises correctly, that's why I asked that question in the first place. I always thought that it'll go away with time but it still happens for years already and I really dislike doing that.
And I mean crunches and bicycle crunches.
I already know that hurting back and feeling dizzy is quite common for some people doing these exercises. My friend suggested me that I should use vertical bar to train my belly muscles.

No-homo, but what would be the best way to get like this?

As far as arms go, I get mixed answers.

I get do (40lbs x30) (35lbs x 30), (30 x 30).

Or

(30 x 50) (25 x 50) (20 x 50).

What should be done on the arms?

As far as everything else goes, I think I got it, but was wondering about the arms.

I'm still getting back into the swing of things, so I am just doing that and push ups.

Sets of 10, sometimes mix it up with 20.
until I reach 300, (though I usually am dying by the time I'm at 250) b/c I just started working out again.

im 5 ft 8 and my biceps are about 16 inches. The reason is: Barbell Curls and Concentration curls. Barbell curls are the best biceps excercise imo. About 3 sets of 8 should be good with a weight that allows you to do the exercise properly but also makes you feel it in your biceps.. Remember not to let the bar drop to the starting position at the end of a rep. Hold against it as you lower it slowly to the starting position. You'll really feel the pain in your biceps afterwards if you do them right.

I do chin ups sometimes as well.

and to get like Nelly, you'll probably need some steroids or else alot of free time to spend in the gym and a lot of money to spend on supplements. im willing to bet that he takes steroids like most of those posers.

Well, I figure, it's a goal. I know I wont get like that. hahahaha.

Thanks for the tips. Everyone always says different shit. Yours seem to be on point with the people that are pretty big though.

If u don't mind me asking, what weight level do u use for ur arms, mr 16 inch?

Well - I think that everything depends on your own body. That's why I think that all of those online plans suck ass. There are no exercises, weights and numbers of reps and series that suit everyone in a same way. Just use one of those plans that are made already and while doing all those exercises find out what suits you the most. You will find out when your muscles work the most while being able to do 8-10 reps of each one. If you have to move other muscles it means that it's too heavy for you, if you can easily do more than 15 reps then it's too light/easy. Also don't do things you simply dislike or those that seem sucky to you.

Nelly indeed has a great body there and he's either working out really hard and keeping a strict diet or doing steroids. I know people who work out for 10 years or more and look nowhere as good. Money makes him look this way lol

Personally I think that the best bicep exercise is this one:

The guy does it wrong though. You can see that he was cheating himself into doing more than he could handle and it developed a wrong form for him which is way harder to change than learning it from the beginning.
