I failed enriched math in Sec 5 in HS. I hated it and honestly then math class = nap time. I drove teachers craaaaaazy with my sleeping and talking. Failed chemistry as well that year. Played Gameboy instead.

^Oh que si. But if I would have put a bit of effort I would have passed it. I put some effort at the end of the year and went from like 30% to 56% for my final year mark. Not bad.

I always thought I wasn't bad in math but have no interest in it whatsoever.

I also have accounting now. Don't really know what's the point of that. I have to tell you that I hate maths here and am stuck at programming which I find really frustrating. I sometimes wonder what am I doing here. I really enjoy databases and multimedia though. If I pass I'll be either doing some stuff with Oracle databases, multimedia or video games (if I'll learn programming. Do you have any good way to study it?)

you need to do the following things (this is what works best for me)

1. give your full attention to the teacher during lectures.

2. while your teacher is going through the steps to solve a math problem, follow through in your head. if you get stuck, don't let that discourage you. put your hand up and ask the right questions so you can get the right answer.

3. Math is logical and sometimes there is more than one way to get the right answer.

4. try and memorize the steps to solving math problems in sequence.

5. make sure you have a strong foundation so you can move up to the harder stuff if you ever had to do it.

6. attend extra lectures if you need to.

7. hand in all of your assignments and make sure they are perfect cuz if you bomb on a test your assignments will be there to back your grade up.

8. overall - if you do the assignments and understand the work than you should have no problem acing the tests and quizzes.

oh ya and make sure you do the examples in your text book for extra practice

as for programming - read the text book and follow along carefully in class. get the teacher to help you a lot and you'll do fine. i don't like programming either.

i like IT enough to learn about it but thats not what i want to do for the rest of my life. after i finish my diploma in IT my plan is to go into audio engineering and do a diploma and make the best fuckin music you've ever heard like tupac did. i wanna work for death row. now thats a dream come true.
