Technology Cheating on Xbox Live?

I never thought it was possible to cheat over xbox live. About three months ago, i started playing GTA IV online. It took me a while to get used of it and now im pretty good at the deathmatch. I win or am near the top in most ranked matches. Im not so good at racing though. I can win GTA Race but i find the normal race impossible because every time i get into a good position i get rammed off the road by other idiots who dont want to play it right. Obviously ramming other racers and driving the wrong way is acceptable in GTA Race but the normal Race is supposed to be just pure racing.

Now i had my suspicions that people were cheating in GTA IV on xbox live. You get these players who seem invincible. You shoot them at close range and nothing comes off their health, then they get one head shot and your dead. There are also players who can pick off a head shot with the pistol from a very long range which seems impossible to me. Now all my suspicions were confirmed yesterday when i was playing the Race mode. So the race starts and as usual all the idiots start ramming eachother. Then there are two players whose cars just zoom up the track. They are going at 3 times the speed of any other car even though the class of car is Super Cars (Super GT, Infernus, Turismo, Comet). Then other player start complaining over the microphone that they are cheating and one of the guys admits that they have some modifications on their Xbox 360 thats allows them to cheat and "win every race easily".

I didnt realise it was possible to do but you have to ask what is the point in cheating in online gaming lol.

Havn't seen anyone cheat on GTA IV as of yet but I know on Gears of War cheating use to be pretty rife. People could exploit glitches in the game and make themselves have incredible speed. They could also access places where you couldn't reach and then they could just pick you off with a sniper rifle.

^^yea thats what they were doing in the Race on GTA IV. Glitching, so their car went really fast.

But whats the point in cheating in online gaming. Its pretty pathetic imo.

have you got an Xbox 360?

and then there are the cunts that shout racist comments over the microphone.
I've only ever played CoD4 online and I don't recall any cheating, that was over a year ago though. But oh man, the flame wars people would get into in that game.. priceless. And then you had the ex-army people who would play an act as if they were back fighting in the war... also priceless. I need to get liv eagain.

There's a shit load of cheaters on PSN too. It's one of the reason i stopped playing Warhawk and MGS4. I really hate when it happens in world at war but it seems somewhat rare nowadays.

^^how are they cheating in those games?
Well in Warhawk you could unload 5 clips on some guys and they still wouldn't die, yet you would die from a single shot of theirs. MGS4 has massive sniper cheats in it up until they had an update. And there was times in world at war where i would literally unload entire clips into people and they just would not die. I remember this one time i got extremely pissed cause i stabbed a guy 3 times and the muthafucka did not die.
