I just had a discussion with a friend last night about this, and coming from the North to the South, it's definitely something I have to be cautious about.
Most people down here are Christian, Baptist or Presbyterian mostly, so when they see a brown kid the wonder about what I believe in. I really don't feel like typing much right now, but I'll just say this, there's really no way to discuss it on this forum, let alone in real life, without in the end, not coming to a conclusion. You definitely have some more food for thought, but you still won't come out with a definite answer.
If you try and disprove the existence of a God using science, well, you can't. If we were to use the scientific method to try and disprove it, there are people that have experienced one of two things things; a sign that there is a God with them or no experience that there's a God with them. Using the scientific method, that totally invalidates both arguments.
Maybe it's just something that we never find out. How do we know there is a God, but even when we die, we never see him? Who says we see our "maker" when we're done?
