Are Canada good at any sports?

im just wondering because our second string rugby team beat Canada 55-0

i know that your soccer team is rubbish

so for a country that big, surely there are sports that Canada is good at.

Im not trying to be smart here, but i am interested to know which sports are most popular there? is ice hockey the main one?

There's two times more people in France than in Canada.

Also, we do not have a lot of black people.

Lacrosse they are good, curling they are really good, but no one gives a crap about it except the redneck provinces.

Except that, we kick ass in hockey. We have a lot of good boxers. The soccer team is actually alright. Except that De Guzman and Heargraves don't play for Canada, we have a few good players. Like the other De Guzman, De Rosario, that kid from Newcastle...

Basketball is alright. We were better at it.

no excuse . we have a decent soccer team. We have reached the world cup 3 times and got to the knock out stages in all. and we have a good Rugby team. but at the same time while soccer and rugby are very popular here, they aren't as popular as our two national sports-hurling and gaelic football. Our population is not even 4 million and we havent many black people lol

so Canada with its size and population should be able to field a good football team.

Was thinking ice hockey was the most popular sport there.

Ice Hockey, obviously the best in the world.
Basketball, slowly becoming really good.
LaCrosse, good.
Curling, amazing, but ugly sport.

As for Football, it's true a lot of players chose to play for other countries instead of Canada, it shouldn't be an excuse, but I wouldn't say population and size of a country should be an excuse as to why Canada sucks. Why is China or India horrible at football then?

Footy isn't really well funded here, or supported. Hockey is the main deal here.

^^Yea but Hurling and Gaelic football are the most supported here but soccer and rugby still gets excellent support.

I dont get why Canadians don't support soccer more.

In my city, Montreal, footy is pretty popular. It's more European around here though.

It's either Hockey (Obviously cause of the Montreal Canadians saga) and Footy cause of all the Arabic and European immigration here.

The rest of Canada is more American, so yeah...

Id love to play Ice Hockey. i like that sport. have you played NHL 09 yet? Im thinking of getting that for the xbox 360.

Yeah, I played it on my buddy's XBox, it's great. Very fun and I'm not even nuts about hockey.

And yeah here we are mostly good at hockey, lacrosse and curling (but who cares about curling). We are getting better in basketball. As for soccer/football, we are missing funding. It's not well promoted.
