Not all of them. Still, it represents Germany as much as France represented France in '98.

They are still considered "foreigners" by a lot of Germans though.

yea alot of racists.

look the majority of the french team lived in France since a young age. so they have every right to represent France since they are citizens of that country. A lot of our national team of the early 90's were born and raised in England but could play for Ireland because their parents are grandparents were Irish.

I dont see what the problem is here. these guys moved to Germany for whatever reasons at a young age and have lived there since. so maybe they feel more german than anything else?

On the other hand, perhaps this is the reason why Germany are nowhere near as good as they were. German footballers like Beckenbaur, Muller, Mattheus, Klinsmann etc had certain characteristics which made them great.

Actually, a whole lot of France '98 came from their old colonies.

As for this U21 German team, how can a bunch of Tunisians, Turks, Bosnians, Spaniards (????) and Polesrepresent Germany.

I'm sorry, but when Germany fielded Podolski and Klose up front in the first WC06 match in Germany, I just felt sorry for them... They can't field 11 good Germans at their own World Cup...

Once more, these guys were right:

so lets take Patrick Vieira for example. he was born in Dakar but moved to France at a very young age. He grew up in France and developed his football in France. Of course he is going to represent France imo.

What fans had that banner? ignorant racists from Lithuania is it?

Its complete and utter begrudgery towards France's success imo. They were the best side in 1998 and won with players that they developed in their own country. i couldnt care less where they were born.

Ok, since im pretty sure you are totally serious with your post here im gonna respond to it in the following way:

Fuck yourself for making such a retarded comment!

Klose and Podolski are german. Maybe not by your stupid definiton of the word german but just like Bobby already explained: They moved here when they were young (Podolski did, im not 100% sure about Klose) and grew up here, learned everything in this country and guess what? They feel they are germans more than any other nationality.

And let me end my post by saying that your opinion about this matter probably derives from your own origin. You and probably a lot of other "ex-Yugoslavia" inhabitants are way too obsessed about nationality, ethnicity and that stupid kind of shit.

Lets look at France's 1998 WC winning team then:

Fabian Barthez: Born and raised in France

Bernard Lama: Born and raised in France

Laurent Charbonnier: Born and raised in France

Lilian Thuram: Born in Guadeloupe, an overseas region of France

Marcel Desailly: Born in Accra, Ghana but moved to France with his family at 4 years of age

Laurent Blanc: Born and raised in France

Frank Lebeouf: Born and raised in France

Bixente Lizarazu: Basque. Born and raised in France

Vincent Candela: Born and raised in France

Emmanuel Petit: Born and raised in France

Christian Karembeu: Born in New Caledonia, an overseas department of France. do they even have a football team?

Didier Deschamps: Born and raised in France

Youri Djorkaeff: Born and raised in France

Robert Pires: Born and raised in France

Patrick Vieira: Born in Dakar, Senegal but move to France when 8 years old

Bernard Diomede: Born and raised in France

Alain Boghossian: Born and raised in France

Thierry Henry: Born and raised in France

David Trezeguet: Born and raised in France

Christophe Dugarry: Born and raised in France

Stephane Guivarch: Born and raised in France

So those who say that France had a team of foreigners at the 1998 WC dont have a clue and are just begrudgers clutching at straws imo.

Yea Italy do look past it. A lot of their players are over 30 and Lippi is too stubborn to pick the most gifted Italian footballer out there at the moment.

Lippi hates Cassano.

Italy need to freshen up, their younger talent is good, did Gattuso play again? The guy has barely played all season but can start for them? Come the fuck on..

Anywho, Brazil look good, despite the fact I've not really been impressed with them in the Qualifiers for the World Cup, they always turn it around when they have to, abit like what Italy used to do.

Brazil's looking good lately, and thats coming from a guy who was hating this team, they were playing just with their names and money, without running, without heart.

without ronaldinho who was playing like shit just cuz he is ronaldinho, I hope he will be ready and healthy soon

Felipe Melo (who was a surprise for all of us) is doing hes thing
Ramires is a new fast and all around player

Luis Fabiano Kaka Robinho are so fast
Now with Maicon and Dani Alves a good fight for this position
And we have a consistent defense, Lucio Juan Julio Cesar with Miranda and Luisao making it a great bench

I have good feelings about this team.

Klose chose Germany in 2002 because he thought that he had a better chance of winning the WC than with Poland. I'm sorry, but that's really hypocritical of his part.

As for Podolski, he wanted to play for Poland but the Polish FA had some personal problems with him, ask masta.

Anyway, I wasn't 100% serious with my post, I just think that picture is funny.

Chriiist, I wasn't 100% serious about my posts! I just think that some teams abuse the idea of naturalizing foreigners.

Also, Herny is from the Martinique and Trezeguet is from Argentina.

Other than that you have Cissé who refused to play for Senegal because he thinks that they are not good enough for him.

I just think that France has way too much players who are not FRENCH. And I have a lot of French friends who didn't appreciate their 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2004 teams because it had a lot of "foreign" players.

I have no problems with players born in the countries they play for. I have no problem with Ibrahimovic, a Bosnian born in Sweden playing for Sweden.

I think that it's kind of stupid of Cissé and Vieira to play for France when they are not born there. Also they had invitations, but they refused them.

Those 100 'Zilians not playing for Brazil...

I love France though, don't get me wrong. Funner team than Germany and Italy. :)
