Indeed their isnt, that was my point, last season they would've lost with a whimper. They seem alot hungrier off the ball this season. Hleb needs to do something soon, or he will be off in the summer.

Beckham didn't have the best of matches.

Great game though, Pato keeps impressing me, fantastic talent.
Adriano looked like his old self, the way he bullied Maldini in one moment in the game was class.
Ronaldinho's passing was great.
Maldini is still awesome.
Maicon is class too.

^^yea it was a good game. Pato and Maicon were class. so was Ronaldinho when he had the ball but he doesn't move when he isnt in possession. He makes no effort to close down lol. Kaladze was rubbish. Inter have it sown up now surely. Maldini wasn't great though. actually their defense is weak. Nesta is a massive loss and there are talks of him retiring. Gattuso and Kaka are major losses as well.

to the england people. do you guys want Beckham in the squad for the next WC? tbh,I think its a bad move. First of all he is past it and im not just saying that because of todays performance, although it was the first big test of him in serie a..I am worried that AC Milan are quickly turning into a joke after signing him. Secondly, if he is in the squad, it will be the same media circus surrounding him as was in the last WC. Its distracts the players. Thirdly, players like Jame Milner need to be given a chance. Perhaps, Capello needs to make a big decision on this like Aragones did with Raul before the Euros.

I agree
it's one of the reasons why Barcelona fans got tired of him..

If he can be his old self, like 4 years ago, there wouldn't be a problem
but if you can't be brilliant in attack, you have to compensate,
and he still doesn't seem to realise that..

I would take Beckham. But more as a sub than a starter. He's the only one that can pass the fucking ball, the rest treat it like a hot potato.

^^^ Exactly. Also, when Beckham comes on he seems to rally up the players. He's a natural born leader; you're able to see it every time he's on the field. English players look up to him.

Indeed, also the media circus as the last WC was due to the wags, they should just ban them from coming.

Beckham against Spain did more in his little spell then anyone else, his through ball to Cole was something no other England player would attempt.

^^they have enough leaders i.e Terry, Ferdinand, Gerrard, Barry and Lampard.

the point i am making is that if Beckham is the 2010 WC squad, there will be a big media circus surrounding him as is always the case. It distracts the team. This was the case at the last WC.

and besides that, he has done very little of note in an England shirt apart from a goal against Greece. I think England would be better served if they forget about the aging Beckham and let young players like Milner play.

I have forgotten what Gerrard has done for England or Lampard, or Terry :wondering:

The media circus was mainly created by the wags, the last WC was about Wags & Rooneys fitness.

If the "media circus" distracts the team then wtf is wrong with the team :worried: I can't see why it would, and if it has done the players are poor mentally and it's not Beckhams fault.
