Richard Dunne linked with Spurs.

Remember Harry Redknapp was going all out to bring him to Portsmouth in summer so it would be no surprise that he wants to bring him to spurs.

^^no thats what happens when you play Keane as lone striker in a 4-5-1 formation with 2 def. midfielders at home to west ham. And not to mention that the Liverpool squad is not good enough to win any league.

^^are you joking?

Players like Benayoun, Arbeloa, Dossena, Pennant, N'Gog and Lucas are not good enough for Liverpool football club when you consider the great players we had in the past. Babel was fucking hopeless when he came on last night. If Benitez isnt gonna play him then he should try and cash in on him while he is still worth something. Babel doesnt seem to fit in anywhere and i fear that he is being ruined. As much as i hate saying it, Keane hasnt done it, but being played as a lone striker (keane could never play up front on his own) and being taken off in every game after 65 minutes doesnt help him either.

The thing that annoys me the most is the fact that Liverpool were playing good football at the start of the season. We played Man Utd off the pitch for the second half of that game. But then Benitez started this squad rotation bullshit and it seems to disrupt the game we were playing.

If you compare the top 4 teams and consider what world class players they have, then Liverpool fall behind Man Utd and Chelsea. Ultimately its the quality of players you have that wins leagues titles. When Gerrard and Torres are injured or off form for Liverpool, there isnt really any other player that can step up and produce something.

Players that i consider World Class from the top 4:

Man Utd: Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez. (I would have put Scholes and Giggs there in the past as well but they are pushing on a bit now)

Chelsea: Cech, Terry, Cole, Carvalho, Bosingwa, Lampard, Deco, Ballack, Drogba, Essien.

Liverpool: Reina, Carragher, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres and maybe Alonso.

Arsenal: Fabregas, Van Persie, Adeboyor, and maybe Nasri.

At the end of the day its the quality of players that wins leagues. Fair enough, Liverpool world class players always seem to perform in big European but there are times over a long season when they wont play well and thats when other players need to step up. Take Man Utd last season for example, if Rooney for example was having a bad game then Tevez was there to step up and produce something. Liverpool dont have that strength in depth either. The squad players are poor and are not good enough. But they should be good enough. Benitez spent enough money on players andm, ost of the ones he bought are simply not good enough.

Still though, Liverpool are on top and have lost only once this season. Torres has hardly played and Gerrard hasnt been at his best in the premiership.

Who knows when Torres comes back Liverpool could go on another run but i have my doubts about us sustaining a title challenge for the reasons i mentioned above.

That's not what I'm saying... If Benitez played the team properly, then people would see what Babel was capable of, they'd see what Keane is able to do, etc. They would then be considered World Class players.

Mascherano and Skrtel are two awesome players, but the way the team plays, they are not doing showing their full potential.

To me, Benitez has to go. If not only for playing 4-5-1 at home against West Ham.

actually , i was wrong when i said he played 4-5-1. Mascherano didnt play. I just assumed that he did. He played Benayoun on the right and Kuyt off Keane.

Keane has been a good player but its not working out for him at Liverpool. He seems too tensed up and nervous when he has played for Liverpool. He is like this at times for Ireland as well. He needs to be more relaxed. In fairness what do you do with Babel? Where can you play him. He is frustrating as fuck. He comes off the bench and scores a great goal in one game, then he starts the next and is invisible for the whole game. Benitez has given him chances. Skrtel and Agger have great potential.

Liverpool dont have any cutting edge without Torres.

^^maybe. He would have fit in better there.

another thing, is the lack of young talent coming through at Liverpool since Benitez became manager. Liverpool used produced top players from their youth academy every 2 or 3 years. Players like Fowler, Owen, Carragher and Gerrard. I dont think a single player has come through fro the youth academy since Benitez took over whic worries me.

There are rumours that Benitez will bring Owen back to Anfield in January.

^^Owen just stood up for the whole game against Middlesbrough last weekend.

Playing Burnley? Burnley might get promoted because they are doing well this season. I cant see Newcastle going down though. THey have 2 many good players imo.

Owen. Why would Liverpool want him? Even in his prime he could go on long spells without a goal. Obviously is a good player though but not exactly what Liverpool need with Torres.

So much for the great Arsenal kids.
