Figured I'd make a special thread since the Premier League is the most followed league on this forum, anyway.
This week's fun:
21/09/2008West Bromwich AlbionAston Villa 1-2
21/09/2008Tottenham HotspurWigan Athletic 0-0
21/09/2008Manchester CityPortsmouth 2-0
21/09/2008Hull CityEverton 1-0
21/09/2008ChelseaManchester United 1-1
20/09/2008SunderlandMiddlesbrough 2-0
20/09/2008Bolton WanderersArsenal 1-3
20/09/2008LiverpoolStoke City 0-0
20/09/2008West Ham UnitedNewcastle United 3-1
20/09/2008Blackburn RoversFulham 1-0
I'll say Chelsea and Utd are going to be fighting over the Championship. Liverpool will continue their poor domestic run. Arsenal is a bit young and will struggle. No one will penetrate the top 4, although a few teams may get close. Newcastle will be fighting to avoid relegation if they don't get their act together. Spurs will suck the entire season if they don't buy a few goal scorers in the wintertransferperiod. Pavlyuchenko is a work mule, not a clinical finisher. Having sold the Bulgar and Keane they're really thin up front. Bent isn't brilliant. West Ham will have a good season. Despite Sandeep's hopes and dreams, Barry will leave Villa in the next transfer period and Villa will be so-so at the end of the season. Somewhere midtable.
Stoke will surprise a few sides. Sunderland will have a decent season as well.
