I used to play WoW for a year, year and a half. I quit and never felt like going back to it. (I still don't, BTW)

Most people probably remember Warcraft 3, The Frozen Throne, and their epic storylines. IMO one of the coolest, most epic stories in any computer game. Just cause everything was so fucking hard and evil lol. Anyway, I remember Chronic used to play WoW too and started hating on the storyline. Hating on how they changed certain aspects of the lore to better fit an MMORPG. Eventually I could see it too, and started hating as well. By now, I think WoW is a boring fucking game. I can't wait for them to stop developing WoW and make another WC3-like game.

Point of all this is, the intro movie to the new expansion pack that's coming out is up on the WoW site. I watched it, and anyone who remembers WC3 and TFT will probably agree that it was very cool. If you liked WC3 it's worth watching for that reason alone.

truth. i would play 8-14 hours a day for about six months before i finally quit. and i didn't really quit so much as i coincidentally couldn't play too much for a while. then, afterwards, it was never the same.

i loved WC3 and TFT, i have spend thousands of hours on those 2 games. i played WoW for about 4 hours and hated it.

on the other hand my girl's brother never played any of the previous warcraft games but has pretty much devoted his life to WoW

i used to chat with chronic all the time but then he started playing wow and talked so much about it. he often inquired i should start playing and eventually i did. i remember he took me through the learning process. explained new things to me as they arose and i sent him a message in-game. then, after a while, he decided the game was gay as fuck and quit playing. he dragged me down in the mud and left me there, the bastard. he even had more purplz than me too. the world is such an unjust place.

World of warcraft steals your soul and turns you into a no-life zombie talking (which happens not so often considering you spend most of your life in front of the pc) about magic, shields and other bullshit nobody normal understands.

You should play some Diablo 2. My buddy and I rediscovered the game this past weekend, and it has been all downhill since. He got back from church, immediately started playing. Started at 3AM Sat. morning and played til 9, had breakfast at Hardee's, went to bed at 10:30, up at 2:30, played til 5, went to some girl's house for dinner, came back, played til 11. Yes. That is how savage we are.

So Wrath of the Lick King comes out on the 13th of November, I might start playing again depending on how my studies go.
