I think a lot of people who are not going to vote for obama regardless, are looking for more ways to hate him.The white people in america who are scared of black people, this song is probably going to feed into their unjustified fears. But the people who think to that nature is not voting for obama regardless. So who gives a shit what they think.

Now also, the people that are voting for obama I don't think it is going to change their minds. Due to the fact that it was luda who said it not obama.Obama can not control who says what, as im sure there are some redneck racists making songs for mccain somewhere deep in the bumfucks of america. If he can overcome and keep his supporters through his whole church crisis crap, this isn't near as bad as that.

Final opinion, no i don't think it is going to hurt him.

Ludacris only hurt himself because Obama punked him. It's like when you kiss someone's ass and the dude tells you "stop kissing my ass you stupid fuck".

I'm sure Luda wrote the song with the expectation that Obama would denounce it.

Any idiot knows Obama would have no chance getting elected President if he endorsed lyrics about McCain being paralyzed and Clinton being a bitch.

Like Puff said, I don't think anyone cares about this.

I don't think it will hurt Obama even though Fox News is making it look like Obama is some anti-semetic radical. I don't even think Obama had to denounce it. He didn't make the song, it was one person's view. Is John McCain gonna come out and denounce every racist website calling for Obama to be hanged. Of course not, so why should Obama have to defened himself for a song Ludacris made? Maybe because they are friends and have been seen in photos together, and Obama said Luda is on his iPod and is a great artist? Is that what people are pissed about? I want to bring up John Hagee and McCain but Imma let it slide like most of the news stations do.

Obama is playing politics right now, if he liked the song or not he had to come out and say it was wrong so the people making a big deal of it will be quiet. Even though they are saying him denouncing it isn't enough. It's like what the fuck, I'm thinking Obama needs to make a diss song to Luda so people can act happy til the next issue gets blown out of proportion.

The Real Deal

Ludacris is an idiot. I think he did this to cause controversy to promote his new reality show and upcoming albums. And he didn't mind hurting Obama to do it. Ludacris doesn't care about Obama or any one else but himself. He is willing to damage the first black presidential candidate in an attempt to put dollars in his pocket. But it is possible that he could have just been incredibly stupid and could not forecast the backfiring of his irresponsible words. It is sad. Furthermore, this good example to show how damaging Black People can be to Black People. Some African Americans have started to boycott Ludacris for this reason. If we don't police our own, nobody else will, and we will be to blame.

And for those who think no one cares about Ludacris, you're wrong. The media will and has run wild with this. In the eyes of white people who have very little, if not any relations with black people, it has a huge effect. Especially since Ludacris is a supporter of Obama, who is black, and who happens to be running for the highest office in the land. Ludacris' dumb move confirmed stereotypes of black men as being disrespectful and unintelligent. I don’t know to what degree this will hurt Obama but I'm absolutely positive it won't help him; or black people, or hip hop, or Ludacris himself.

I agree, I doubt ppl will care much. Ludacris is an idiot as are all these other people thinking Obama is some "down brotha from tha hood"

Obama is half white, raised in the country by his White mom and Harvard educated, this isn't just "some Black guy" he probably doesn't even listen to rap.

^actually, he does. there's an interview where he says he enjoys listening to kanye and jay z. however, he is careful to say that there are songs, even by these artists, that he dislikes because of the overuse of the "n" word, etc.

Does he actually listen to it or is it an attempt to get more Black or young urban or people who listen to rap music to vote for him. So hard to say, politics is a big game.

^i believe that he listens to it. he went into some detail about how jay z's "american gangster" album told a story and that's why he enjoyed it.

I also think that making a comment stating that you enjoy some rap music is more likely to hurt your campaign rather than reap benefits.

I personally also believe Obama when he speaks.

So when Obama said there were 57 states you believed him? Did you believe him when he made other gaffes too? When it comes to the flip flops he has had on issues, which one do you believe?
If obama said at one point that there were 57 states then that was an obvious blunder.

let's not be stupid. i think you know what i meant.

I liked him a lot back when he was a nobody trying to do big things for impoverished communities in Chicago... now.. who knows who he is. It's impossible to hold onto self when trying to please one million different people at a time who are all extremely different.
