^^ Right now I can barely afford to fuel my car (it's a v8) and I blame that on oil prices and I blame that on the actions of the US government.
Im sorry but that is my major concern every day. I spend $150 a week on petrol minimum. Right now I am considering selling my car and getting a 4 cylinder, and that is the major issue in my life right now. Im not one to worry about arms races and this and that, it is out of my control, and I prefer to live life and hope for the best, but the price of petrol is a big concern because it impacts me every day.
See, that's what pisses me off about the public's attitude
they're like - yeah, war is bad, stop war - bush is a liar.
yeah, our sons and daughters are dying, bring them home - fuck bush.
BUT WAIT! THIS FUEL COST THING IS TAKING A CHUNK OUT OF MY WALLET!!! DAMN YOU GEORGE BUSH AND AMERICA!!!!!!!! WORST PRESIDENT EVER!
Have you ever heard of global warming? Whether you believe in it or not is your choice but petro needs to go - why don't we turn a negative into a positive and make little changes. Open up those windows in the summer time. Stay home on the weekends - whatever - just don't get wrapped up into this kind of bullshit. Like I said - there are far worse problems in the world - Fox News and their crap is the last thing we should be focused on.
Iraq is our generation's Vietnam - so naturally, the youth wants to rebel. Makes them feel empowered.
I'm probably going to catch some hate for this - but did you know that Vietnam is a booming country? Highly educated work force. Plenty of investment potential for foreign corporations and plenty of resources to tap into. And the country sits on a strategic position. (RISK anyone?) - The young Vietnamese do not have any memories of the war - and I'm sure many of them are benefiting off the past events - events that were horrifying.
Does that make it alright? Probably not, but just something to think about.
