A lot of military research has benefited us civilians. Imagine firefighters with those suits or construction workers. Things would be safer and work more efficient

Either way, this is not a bad step forward. A suit like this would probably never see battle action. Imagine the risk of losing it to the enemy, if not for the loss of technology, then considering what a full armor suit with one of those things installed would cost. Most likely, it will see more practical usage like what Glockmatic suggested, with firefighters and construction workers. Actually, the firefighter idea is pretty interesting, because if they can make space suits that can withstand -200 degrees or whatever, surely it should be possible to make a heat regulated suit that could withstand fire, at least for a while. Imagine a suit like that with this thing. That would be mean, in a good way.
