Pirlo rejected Milan exit (Rumour/Speculation)

Milan's Italy international star Andrea Pirlo has confirmed he recently rejected the chance to join Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Reports in England and Spain have suggested all three clubs offered around 50million Euros (£39.9million) for the 29-year-old midfielder.

However, the former Brescia and Internazionale ace is happy at the San Siro and has hinted he will now see out his career with the Rossoneri.

"I feel good at Milan and I'm happy to stay," he said. "A few years ago there could have been a different situation.

Possibility

"Milan could have been relegated to Serie B and there was a possibility I would have left.

"Now we're in Serie A and despite missing out on next year's Champions League we're in the middle of something special.

"I've only won one Scudetto and now I want to win another. I had offers from Spain and England.

"It's flattering to be wanted by such prestigious sides, but I'm in the world's strongest side and I have no intention of leaving."

Barcelona's new manager Josep Guardiola knows Pirlo from their time together at Brescia, but the Italian ace has not heard anything from the Catalan giants.

"Would I join Barcelona? Maybe. I know Guardiola from Brescia and maybe he sees a little of himself in me, but I have never spoken with him," he concluded.

Alonso admits Juve liking (Possible)

Xabi Alonso admits he is flattered by Juventus' interest in him, amid speculation his switch from Liverpool to Serie A could soon be completed.

The classy Liverpool schemer is currently preparing for Spain's Euro 2008 bid against a backdrop of ongoing uncertainty over his future.

Earlier in the summer he rejected out of hand reports that have linked him with a return to Spain, with Real Madrid credited as holding a long-standing interest in his services.

But when quizzed on Juventus, who Liverpool are engaged in discussions with, Alonso conceded it would be an honour to wear the prestigious black and white stripes.

Historic club

"I know the Bianconeri follow me," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport from Spain's training camp.

"I know there has already been contact with Liverpool and my agent too.

"I can say that I am really proud to be linked with a strong and historical side like Juventus."

Alonso went on to his express his admiration for those players that stayed in Turin despite Juventus' demotion to Serie B for the part they played in a match-fixing scandal.

Admiration

"I know what happened at Juve," he added.

"For this reason I have big respect for (Alessandro) Del Piero, (Gianluigi) Buffon, (Pavel) Nedved and (David) Trezeguet - big champions who had the courage to play in Serie B.

"This is something I like a lot. After four years in La Liga and four years in England, playing in Italy would be like completing my career."

Alves close to Barca deal (Possible)

Reports emanating from the Spanish press are suggesting Barcelona have beaten off the interest of a host of English clubs to the signature of Sevilla full-back Daniel Alves.

Sevilla's sought-after Brazilian has long-since been the target of Barca and it now looks as though they have landed their man in a big-money deal.

Ona FM claim Barca are expected to confirm the transfer on Monday, with the deal thought to be worth 29.5 million euros (£23.5million), a price which could increase to as much as 35.5m (£28.5million) euros if Alves helps the Catalans to league or UEFA Champions League success.

The 25-year-old has spent four years with Sevilla since signing from Brazilian club Bahia in 2003, and has been strongly linked to Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool at various points over recent seasons.

"I am very pleased an agreement has been reached and that I will be joining a club of the stature of Barcelona," Alves was quoted as telling Spanish radio station RAC1.

"I am an ambitious player and hope that by joining an important club like this it will help me to win titles."

Barca's new manager Josep Guardiola was keen to strengthen his right-wingback area after the departure of Gianluca Zambrotta to Milan following a two-year stint in Catalunya.

would you rather me not post or contribute anything to this topic? because speculation has a lot to do with the transfer window.
But the speculation is bullshit and your pasting irrelavant shit about irrelavant players and your not even commenting on them, I could read all that off a website. its all off of Goal.comanyway. Who the hell cares about Bouazza?

If you post specualtion you could say something like Drogba might be going to AC Milan then discuss it.

and read the posts. The Alves deal has been mentioned already...

Yea man, goal.com is the biggiest fucking cunt of a website out there. They contradict themselves every hour. And if you make a comment complaining about it, they never let it through. They are totally biased towards certain teams (Juventus and Man Utd especially) and most of their reporters havent got a clue. It summed them up for me yesterday when they gave the entire Czech Rep. defense a low rating even though the reason Czech Rep won the game was because of their defense.

Its grand if you post a rumour but dont copy and paste stuff whole articles of goal.com. Its just a waste of time.

apparently barry's agent has hinted that barry expects to play CL football next year and has mentioned it to MON.

this can mean either one of 3 things.

1. he wants to move to liverpool to play CL football next year.

2. he will stay with villa and if they dont look like they are in a position to claim a top 4 spot by january, he will want to move.

3. if he stays and villa dont finish in the top 4, he will join liverpool.

you never know until he announces his decision.

retract your statement. when you say never you seem a little crazy. its only a matter of time before we break into the top four. all we neeed is a little more depth in numbers s that our younger players can get a rest rather than playing a full season without any rest.

Steve Sidewell - Chelsea to Aston Villa (£5.5m)

dont really want him to sign for us (not a fan of his). but i have faith in MON. He could make sidwell into what lennon was for leicester and celtic.

Possibly Miguel, Bentley (£15m), Milner (£15m) to Villa as well.

^^your in dreamland my friend.

and i would be hoping that O Neill doesnt turn Sidwell into a Neil Lennon. Sidwell is a far better player than Lennon. Lennon was a donkey.

i do admire Villa though and Martin O Neill. They did great last season.

If Liverpool are signing the likes of Degen and Milner and then selling Alonso, then it wouldnt surprise me if other teams passed them out.
