Remember: Sky Sports are very reliable. Trust me I watch Sky Sports News on TV all the time.

Also:

It does say that some are "rumours/speculation". Its all part of football, gossip which indicates potential signings and links players to other clubs showing possibilities of transfer activity.

P.S. Who cares about Setanta Sports? They are second rate, probably even worse than that. So Biased and utterly CRAP!

the whole point is that setanta are sh*te.

Theres one boy in my class who thinks setanta is the best for sports etc... and hes 10 years late so he might find out in 10 years.

Setanta broke the Porto story before Sky.

Porto are out of the Champions League next season, because of the whole corruption/bribery thing from a few years back.

Alonso Juve talks ongoing (Possible)

Xabi Alonso's agent claims further talks are planned between Liverpool and Juventus with a view to the Spain international moving to Serie A.

Juve have been strongly linked with a move for Alonso as Claudio Ranieri is keen to bring the talented midfielder to Turin.

Liverpool could be willing to sell Alonso if they are successful in their pursuit of Aston Villa's Gareth Barry and Alonso's representative, Ignacio Ibanez says talks with Juventus have already taken place.

Interest

"Juventus have expressed an interest in acquiring Xabi. The clubs have spoken and they will speak again," said Ibanez.

"But it's down to Liverpool to decide whether they want to sell the player or not. From my part I am waiting to see what happens."

Alonso found his appearances restricted last season following the £18.6million arrival of Javier Mascherano and with young Brazilian midfielder Lucas also making an impact.

O'Neill rules out Euro deals (Rumour/Speculation)

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is not expecting to sign any players participating in the Euro 2008 finals.

O'Neill will be watching the finals in Austria and Germany in his role as a TV pundit.

But the former Celtic boss is wary of signing players on the evidence of watching them in major tournaments.

"I'm very cautious about signing players from the Euro Championships or from a World Cup because it's a very different environment," said O'Neill.

"Having said that, I did it a few years ago at Celtic. I signed a lad called Joos Valgaeren who was playing for Belgium at the time and impressed me.

"He came over and he was absolutely brilliant so I suppose the only experience I have of signing a player from a tournament worked to my advantage.

Not keen

"But it wouldn't be something that I would be too keen to do. I think you need to see a wee bit more of a player before making a decision.

"That said, there shouldn't be too many players on show in the Euros that we don't already know about.

"Virtually all of them play in European leagues and we know all about them. It's not like a World Cup where you might see players from Africa or Asia who you might not have been aware of before."

Meanwhile, O'Neill is expected to hold talks in the next few days with midfielder Gareth Barry, who is a target for Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.

Barry has hinted he wants to move to Anfield to taste Champions League football but O'Neill is desperate to hold onto the England midfielder.

Essien rejects Inter talk (Rumour/Speculation)

Michael Essien is not to be reunited with former Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho at Internazionale, according to his agent.

The Portuguese tactician's appointment as Roberto Mancini's successor at the Italian giants has seen the rumour mill go into overdrive.

Inevitable talk of a Stamford Bridge raid has been manifest, with Essien, Ricardo Carvalho, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, also a target of Milan, linked with possible moves to Inter.

Essien has proved to be one of Mourinho's most astute purchases of his tenure in West London, and has been mooted to be at the top of his former taskmaster's summer wish-list.

Piveteau promise

Chelsea would be loath to lose the powerful Ghanaian midfielder and have been boosted by a statement released by the player's agent, Fabien Piveteau.

Essien's existing contract is not due to expire until 2012 and Piveteau can see no reason why the player would move before that date.

"Michael is very happy at Chelsea and that is where he will be playing next season. His current contract runs until 2012. There has been no approach from Inter," Piveteau informed Chelsea's official website.
